Jamie's birthday outing with Mark Mitchell and Oli. All meet up at Odeon at 7.15am and head to highland Perthshire at Bankfoot for quality breakfast. Park at Ben Lawers hotel (closed for winter?) then head up glen towards dam thro birch woods and decent stalkers track, reach dam in 1hr 15min. Head up hillside to left of fence around bealach, strong winds today so West to East circuit. On reaching summit ridge and old fenceline assailed by "Brutal" winds, losing my sunglasses and map + case. Only 10 minutes to battle wind to summit in 3hrs. Weather clagged up above 800m and wintry flurries. Quick break with carrier bag kites.Turn round to traverse ridge Easterly with wind at our backs - phew. 2nd summit by 2.30pm, steep descent on smallish path - expected more munro highway to glen and pleasant birch wood return. home by 5.45pm.
