Looking at the photo of the gun emplacements reminds me of when I was young (1960's) , we used to holiday a Findhorn, Morayshire. We used to play in them all along the beach - cant remember if the guns were decommissioned but still there at the time. I dont imagine they will be there any longer - probably left to '' return to dust''.
At one time they were quite a common site along the strategically important beaches , wonder if there are any left around the country , but still in reasonably good condition.
A reminder of a more turbulent era.
