Not the best of single track roads up to the reservoir, but there is a large parking area before the dam. Straight forward walk up to the end of the glen and then the real walking begins. Steep climb up to the start of the snow. Gaiters already on so wait until the final steep climb up to the top to put the spikes on. A joy walking up frozen snow to the top. Sun shining, wind not too bad till the top. Three walkers already there, followed their footprints up. Had my lunch in the shelter at the top before heading along and down the snow towards the final top before dropping back to the reservoir. Eventually run out of snow and had to take the spikes off. There is one boggy area to get over and it just isn't cold enough to walk over it so weaving around all the wet and thawed bits. A bit weary on the final climb. Glad its all down hill now, mostly dry but a few frozen bits and some wet patches. The road back is pretty well a stream for most of the way. Happy to be back at the car, soaking wet, all the layers, shed only one on the way back.
