Absolutely GORGEOUS walk! Did this on a bright February Monday, only passed 1 other couple. Simply stunning, a little bit of snow still covering the top but nothing too treacherous. Did with my very fit and active staffy and we regularly are out in the peaks hut we still got quite hot and sweaty! It is steep!! Well worth it though, started at 915 back down for 115 and went at a fairly steady pace with couple of breaks. Can't wait to do it again!

Sounds like a lovely walk and I love the photo of your staffy! I have two and would love to get them out on the hills. Think I'd be up and down in record time. Can I ask if you've had any issues with ticks when you've had your dog on the hills? I don't use tick repellent on my dogs for a variety of reasons, so it's something I'm a bit wary of if they were to venture onto the hills with us.

Hi Mini Mac! Sorry I never got a notification for this !! thank you isn't he gorgeous!! No we haven't had a problem with ticks at all (only in our limited experience of Scottish hills and moorland!) But as he is dog aggressive I usually stick to winter months so theres less dog walkers and therefore I imagine they're not quite as prevalent when its chilly!! Hope that helps and hope you have a lovely trip!

Apologies from me, also, as I didn't get a notification either! Thank you for responding - good to hear you haven't had any issues. And also glad you are both able to enjoy the hills in peace! :D
