Absolutely G! :D

I've never experienced lightning and snow before, but as I type here, there has just been a blast of thunder during another snowfall! Bizarre stuff. In the middle of the night it's like the end of the world is upon us, the whole sky flashes what seems like horizon to horizon!

Looks like we're in for another week of major snow up here. A fairly big dump overnight again, and yesterday it was the thunder, lightning, and snow. This is definitely a weird period we're in.

Stayed in a bed and breakfast, too much snow to take the caravan. Today was a wash out so came home early :( Glad I did, the roads at home are terrible and the Elbow was a bit hairy...

Good to see you got out in the end - this trip really looked doomed to be honest. After deciding not to do the Quinag this weekend, I did have a passing thought of heading down this way to join the meet, but I decided straight away that the roads probably wouldn't be suitable (not for my car anyway).

Thanks guys...

Yes it was a bit doomed what with the hairy elbows, weather and all... And I took tinsel and balls too!

Many hill itches not getting scratched... Vert frustrating to say the least :)

Exactly my feelings too. Glad you make it back home safely. Did at least manage to get out (on foot) this afternoon to Crathes Castle for a bit of sledging with the family.

It was the Devil's Elbow pass which was really putting me off. But I don't think I can cope with that level of extreme cold really - I find it very tiring. Well done for getting out there anyway!

Hey, for a lady that didn't get any hills done this weekend, you sure held your own in the driving stakes......

Well done if only for getting there and back when others stayed at home!!!!
