A long planned walk with workmates finally came to fruition this weekend.
Upon looking out my Edinburgh window I was delighted to see a clear sunny day. Just over an hour's drive took us to Tillicoutry and the start of our walk. It didn't take long to climb out of any shelter and into the wind, which was to be our companion for the duration of the day.
A steep slog up the steps from the car park and we were on the hill - we headed for Andrew Gannell Hill first, avoiding the Law and then went across the top towards Ben Cleuch. Before reaching the summit we found some hummocks offering enough shelter to hunker down and enjoy our packed lunches.
We then braved the wind again and enjoyed the 360 views from the Ben Cleuch Summit cairn and trig.

Our descent took us towards Ben Ever, although we were wind battered enough by this point and decided not to summit.
The return took us through Mill Glen and out of the wind before we returned to the cars.
A first venture into the Ochils for me and really enjoyed the views, despite the wind.
