Beautiful day for a walk today.

I had no intention of trying for a fast time but I was at Mill Dam in 33 mins, Raor Lodge in 55 mins and the far end of Loch Ordie in 01:29. This is 12 or 13 mile pace and is too fast for a) this distance and b) my current level of fitness.

Due to my speed I was slower from Loch Ordie to LOM but I managed to keep a steady if boring pace. I was pretty hungry when I got to my usual turning point and picnic spot so decided just to do this distance rather than the planned 20 miles.

Usual chocolate stop and I was off for the downhill bit.

Pace was decent all the way back to the car and a time of 05:06 (for 18.7 miles) was 2 minutes quicker than last week and an average pace of 3.7mph was good.

I seem to have finally got my ++++ in gear this year, just as well as 4 weeks to go before my first long distance walk.
