Well. Finally did it. For a year or so now, Facebook has teased me with videos of Scotland from up high.
In the last few months I decided I was gonna go for it. I joined a gym (I was tremendously unfit) and started planning for it.
This one was chosen by my more experienced friend as it was the right mix of simple and close. But most importantly it was one that he hasn't ticked off yet.
Good path for the majority of the way up. With a small scramble at the end. In the opinion of my friend it was on of the easier ones he has climbed. But I'll admit I started to struggle on the final steep stretch when my heels were blistering to hell. The day was warm but unfortunately it was quite misty at the top. So not much of a view. But what an experience.
Back to the gym for me but hopefully this is the first of many. Lee if you read this sorry for holding you back. But thank you for taking me along.
