The Meldons - an hour to spare

I was down in Peebles for a couple of days with my wife. Having checked into the hotel, I had an hour or so to spare so I drove round to the high car park for a walk up White Meldon, then back down to the car for some refreshment before heading up Black Meldon. It was a fine sunny day but there was a strong wind from the East blowing across the tops. Perhaps all those families who were picnicking and paddling in the burn and sunbathing had the right idea. At least I had the hills to myself despite the fine weather. I was disappointed to see so much litter around all the car parks on this stretch of road.
