December is usually the quietest month of the year for hillwalking, what with the short days and folks being busy with Christmas. But not much slackening off in evidence this year - in spite of there being one week where the hills were almost unreachable for deep snow....
Well, it was especially hard to choose one winner, with a superb first report from mountaineagle, a stack of informative reports on Arran from mountain coward, and an introspective and enjoyable return to Ben Challum by kevsbald, as well as many many more.
