On hearing the road to Kinloch Hourn had re-opened we decided to head that way to finish the munros round Loch Quoich.
We drove all the way down to Kinloch Hourn to approach Sgurr a'Mhaoraich from the west.
Initially we followed a stalkers track that zig-zagged up the broad west shoulder offering a great view back to Kinloch Hourn and the loch beyond.
At around 500 metres we left the track to move a little northerly to get out of the wind that was increasing in intensity. Once we reached the summit of Sgurr a'Mhaoraich Beag the route ahead was clear for the final ascent to Sgurr a'Mhaoraich.
The wind chill meant that staying around at the summit wasn't appealing and we set off back down following our route of ascent.
