Summary:
Another pretty perfect forecast, unseasonably warm for spring. Shorts weather again. No midges. Busy car park at Kinlochmore, lucky to get a space with latish start. Tricky finding way out of woodland due to various paths forking off by burn. Once one established path, straightforward. Views stunning back to Loch Leven. Very warm, but nice breeze once on path through An Cumhann. Dry underfoot so good for stopping anywhere for drinks/views. Plenty burns to replenish water before plateau. One tricky section before zig-zagging leading up to Sgor Eilde Beag, where slippery snow covered steep section of path. Once beyond, dry and good going. Then plateau - cracking views all around and flat walking, bliss. Good chance to recce Sgurr Eilde Mor. Wildcampers by Coire an Lochain. Several groups behind and once at spot height 1062m, people in front and rather busy, not on the scale of Ben Nevis though. Nice Ridge to Binnein Mor with good patches of snow. Summit arete-like but bouldery and plenty spaces to shelter from fresh wind. Retraced steps to 1062m then straightforward and jaunt to Na Gruagaichean. Several people on summit, incl. fell runners, great conditions for it. Easy descent off shoulder to south, some drizzle coming on. Bold deer in deciduous woodland near car park. Excellent spring day, conditions did the walk justice, well satisfied.
