We arrived just after 8:00am and we were the second car in the parking area.
We started our walk in the dark, but it did not take to long for the day light to kick in.
Most of the way up to about 500mtrs was thick ice, I was glad of the micro spikes. The exception to the ice was in the woods, it was pretty clear and made for good walking.
A little bit past the half way mark we started to hit some fresh snow, but walking was still good.
The weather near the top was not the best, rain and the odd bit of sleet & snow. The views were not the best as we could not see much more than a few 100ft.
The walkers this time were my brother in law David (Pigeon), Ian and his trusted hound Jake

Pity about the weather but at least you got out - think I'd have needed a whisky to keep me warm at the top in those conditions
