Beware! The route description is a little misleading. The 'clear junction' isn't clear at all, and there is no signage pointing walkers to the Crags. Select the path behind the barrier from the car park and after about 10 minutes you will come across a quite indistinct junction. Don't stay on the main path here! Turn right. Both directions have wooden waymarkers! After that it's steep but straightforward. However, for some reason the entire route was beset with flies!
