Becki's first munro, Stu's eighth.
It was stupidly hot so the ascent was trickier as the sun was beaming down.
The path is good, fairly steep but when there's rocks underfoot is can be uneven and some technical bits. There are places to be able to stand to the side for people passing which is good.
Just before the summit there are sandy paths which is a nice break! Also the summit itself is flat and there are plenty comfy places to sit.
We took the alternative route back down (west side of summit) which presents as very steep and craggy initially; slightly down from this is where a woman was laying who had broken her ankle supposedly and was waiting on mountain rescue.
The route down is narrow and technical. A different workout for the thighs than the ascent. The descent presented a lot more boggy and slightly flooded paths also.
Lovely views throughout.
