First entry so not really sure if I’m doing it correctly.

My Daughter and I set off on a brilliant adventure up Ben Lomond. We stay in Arrochar and she has spent many summers jumping off the pier at Tarbet, with the Ben in the background.

We were excited but unsure of the path to start our exciting day. Thankfully we were met with other walkers who were unsure of the path to take....the path to the open hill is behind the toilet block at the car park.

It’s £3 for the day for parking, a real bargain when you see how much work has gone into maintaining this path.

It starts with a really heavy smell of foxes, we were hoping to catch a glimpse, but apart from their poo they are very evasive animals.

We planned for an early start as I didn’t want anyone hearing my huffing and puffing....but to my and Erin’s delight it was very quiet ( the early bird catches the worm).

It’s hard to explain but I had the best time climbing this mountain with Erin. She turned every tricky moment into a positive experience.

On the way up it was relatively quiet. A different story on the way down.

For our first Munro and on our doorstep, it was absolutely amazing.
