Looking for a relatively easy day sort of on the way home, where we could use the mountain bikes which we had with us. Binnien Shios fitted the bill nicely. We had no idea what the tracks were like for cycling and were undecided which way to go - beside Loch Laggan or beside Lochan na H-Earba. We finally (at the junction) chose the latter route so that we could be in more remote places, and my dodgy knee would get less hillside.

The tracks weren't too bad for our ancient suspension free mountain bikes. It was magical to get to the west end of Lochan na H-Earba-1, sadly we didn't have time to sit on the beach, and the view was slightly spoiled by an Outward Bound encampment which looked as if it had been abandoned as the occupants fled from attackers, but it is possible that they were just out for the day and didn't know about tidying kit, fastening zips and tightening guylines. There were also a couple of cars up there, and later we saw some people being collected by car from between the Binniens. Are we missing a trick here?

It was a pleasant walk up from the bridge between the lochans, and great views from the top.

We debated exploring further on the bikes and returning along Loch Laggan, but decided that it was a bit late in the day to cope with any unknown track issues, so we just retraced our outward route.
