Nice morning, fancied something easy, we decided on this hill, which is only a short drive away from home. Very boring track underfoot all the way to the top, but great views, and certainly enjoyable! Trevor liked the track, and was unusually enthusiastic about the walk, as it was only 2 miles to the top! It was his 5th hill, the others being Blencathra, Pen Y Fan, Cul Mor and The Fiddler.
The way up was warm and sunny, despite some showers elsewhere - we could see them in the distance. At the summit we ate large quantities of cheese. However this feast was cut short, as the heavens opened and it absolutely chucked it down all the way back - and without waterproof trousers our legs were rather wet. The rain ran down into my boots and filled them up, and my socks were duly wrung out when we got back to the car. Boots are still drying!
Sadly, no eels appeared. It was certainly wet enough!!
