Looking for a quick hill on the way home from a visit to Barra.

This looked ideal, but to be honest turned out a bit more of a struggle than we expected. It was a hot day and when we arrived at the forest car park in Glen Loy this looked steep. Turned out it really was - a long climb across grass and heather

. Up and up - but eventually levelled off at a Cairn, with views back to Ben Nevis and Loch Linnhe

. After that a long ridge walk around the corrie to the summit - great views to Loch Lochy and the Dark Mile below us

. The walk down on the grass was quite pleasant, but eventually landed us in a mass of bracken

. Quite fun really, but beasty-ish and hot.
Anyway - back to the car and home. Stopped for a beer at the Lovat in Fort Augustus!
