Route description: Flodigarry Fossils Walk

Date walked: 27/07/2019

Distance: 1.5 km

access from the phone box seems to be no longer possible. The sign towards Flodigarry points to a gate tied shut and a pathway marked "private".
Instead, access is possible to the right of the western end of the Flodigarry Hotel parking lot through a sheep gate and down a gravel path (turn left at a fork).
Do not use the hotel parking lot for parking, however, since it is reserved for guests.

If you found a 'private sign' here, it is worth reporting to the Highland Council access officer. The path from the phone box to the Flodigarry Hotel is actually a core path and was developed with public funds as part of the Staffin ecomuseum project.

Update: we've been back to update (2023) and there was no private sign; the path is now becoming boggy though.
