Perfectly normal route up Schiehallion on a windy day, but the rain behaved and stayed out the way for the summit, and barely a sprinkle afterwards.
The path is well laid out with cairns further up the hill, but we still managed to miss it twice on the way up, so I thought I'd flag that! On the summit ridge, a grassy path at one point strikes off to the left of the main crest of the mountain, where it becomes rockier. That's not the path (instantly obvious as it would not stand the footfall of the popular mountain). The path continues on, marked by small cairns, across the rocky crest.
A little later, the path appears to disappear into a general boulder field. It's still there though, and closer to the crest of the hill than you might imaging (tendency to drift right here), again marked by small cairns. It's worth persisting trying to find this rather than struggling across all the boulders, fun though they are. False leads of paths abound in the form of patches of gravel, but the cairns flag the true route.
