Walkhighlands

Totally overestimated myself on this one and underestimated the amount of water I'd need. The planned one day route took two days, and I had to come off the ridge half way along to collect water from a stream. Didn't fancy drinking it straight off, complete with dirt and sediment, so boiled it - which took ages and only left me with 1 litre for the whole of the next day (7 hours walking in the sun). Jumped in a pool and gulped down some much cleaner looking stream water near the end of the walk.

Exhausting. And to think I had planned to do both the north and south ridges in 3 days! Need to be more realistic about distance which can be covered in a day......and carry a water filter!
