Beinn Eighe completes The Holy Trinity

With my 2 weeks annual leave started it gave me a rare midweek opportunity to gather some more blue balloons, wasn't really sure where this would be until a few FB PMs between myself and my good mate Jonny616 dierected us to the last of the Torridon giants we both had left,it's becoming more difficult now for a joint walk as before today Jonny had only 12 left and my good self 32 with very few that none of us had done, was going to say " bagged" but it can cause some contraversy with some on here so done it will be.

Another very early start once again from mine at 4:30am taking the now very familiar route up the A9 to Inverness then across to Torridon,we more times than not always stopped at The Manky Roll shop just outside Contin for some sustenance, but we now use Harry Gows Bakery just over the Kessock Bridge for some cracking rolls & home baking.

Anyway less of the faff and time to get walking, weather wise it turned out a stonking day, walking in a t shirt most of the day and the rain only starting and we dropped down to the Triple Buttresses and their lochan and the longish walk back out.

Suited & booted and we were walking for 9:45

First look at Beinn Eighe

A nice 2k walk along the road got the legs warmed up before the real work started in ernest[where Liathach now comes into viewattachment=0]FB_IMG_1566387338950.jpg[/attachment]
Both of us were quite surprised on the first climb onto the ridge at how easyish it was and put this down to the 51k we had walked the weekend before climbing the 3 Glen Affric Munro's behind the Youth Hostel Alltbeithe 51k including the walk in & out from Glen Affric road end and the 3 Munro's combined. Now at the bealach and the views starting to open out just amazing

.
We dumped our bags here and made the last climb onto the first summit of the day

Nice wee easy scramble
.Now a few photos from the summit and views to die for

.And no summit is complete without the obligitary picture to spoil the views

.
Didn't really hang around here too long as we new it was going to be a longish day and rain was forecast for later, bag to the bags and then start the walk to the 2nd Munro,it's an absolute stunning walk along the ridge, some very very mild hands on required here and there but really nothing to speak of.

View spoiler again on the 2nd Munro

We could see the weather moving in from the west here so once again we really didn't hang about too long as we did not want to get caught out decending down the scree chute in rain as it can be slippy enough as it is without rain thrown into the mix.
No pictures here now until we were back down into the corie floor, the scramble down to the corie was ok as it was dry, not sure if it would be as easy if it was wet, once down it was just a matter of picking our way through the boulders before reaching the end of the lochan and the good path that eventually takes you back to the car, however no walk here is complete until the iconic and obligitary Triple Buttresses & Lochan pictures are taken.

The Lochan

Atmospheric lochan & Triple Buttresses
.Just after this the heavens opened and we got well and truly drenched on the walk out back to the car,no real hardship here, nothing was going to spoil what was an amazing day on Beinn Eighe.
For Jonny 616 the end is now well and truly in site with only 10 left,I'm still a long way before I will ever consider I can really begin to imagine I can reach the end.
A nice wee bonus as we reached the carpark, this fine and very friendly fellow posed for some pictures

Nice way to end the TR

Great photos and write up of a fabulous walk.

Sounds like you did a more elegant job of descending the scree than I did - bursting my breeks in the process!
