Set off 6am for Glenshee, was warned that the weather would not be great but thought I would chance it anyway. Arrived at Glen Clunie at 7.30am clear sky's all the way until I got to Glenshee, it was chucking it down so sat in the car to see if it clear. 8am and it stopped so headed through the gates across the bridge only to fall flat on my back then again with my hand landing in fresh horse poo and bending one of my poles, a great start. Finally got through the ice to start the initial steep slope beside the burn leading up to Sgor Mor where on arriving the heavy rain had returned along with wind. I carried on reaching Carn Cruinn soaked there was no chance I was taking my camera out in this so used the mobile phone until it got wet at Carn Cruinn and decided to stop working. Didn't hang about got to An Socach and about turned pretty much as soon as I got there couldn't see nothing anyway due to the low cloud . Was down pretty quick and off home, glad I left when I did as the wind picked up quite quickly as I was leaving. Put my phone on the cars heater and it was working by the time I got home luckily.
Not the best of days but another one in the bag
