Hi there. After an absence of quite a few years I'm back out walking.I used to do a lot of walking years ago. My friend is an experienced walker and has invited me to do The Cobbler with him this weekend. I was wondering if I could ask you if you required crampons etc for your recent outing. He has promised to look after me but I was just wondering what current conditions are like at the summit. Thanks.

Using to route up the north (steps) the ice and snow underfoot was in small patches and did not justify crampons. Mind you they might have been useful as anchors for the wind.
