3 days backpacking cover 9 remotest munros from Glenfinnan to inverie.
For the day2 gpx route would recommend an alternative earlier river crossing point for river Carnoch than the one in days2 GPX file. I will upload my previous day2 GPX (the first GPX file below) for the same round 2 years ago, only for the Carnoch river crossing part, all the rest route follow the new GPX.

Walking distance around 70k, ascent 6225m Plus bus from mallaig to glenfinnan and ferry from inverie to mallaig. 9 munros: 1.Sgurr nan Coireachan 2.Sgurr Thuilm 3.Sgurr Mor 4.Sgurr nan Coireachan 5.Garbh Chioch Mhor 6.Sgurr na Ciche 7.Meall Buidhe 8.Luinne Bheinn 9. Ladhar Bheinn.
Been 2 years since Sunny created the Knoydart Tough Round, think it Would be a great idea to repeat this epic unique route to improve the route and benefit the others. Sunny is soloing this route, the route require high level of fitness stamina and the experience of backpacking expeditions.

Itinerary
Day1. Journey start from Mallaig bus station at 7 am Friday, taking shield bus 500 at 7:10 to Glenfinnan 08:05. Walking start from glen finnan monument car park, taking the first two munros then heading down to king loch Arkaig to glen dessery to Munro3 Sgurr Mor and descend to the bealach camp, 29k 2500m around 11.5-12 hours.

Day2. Continue along the ridge for munro 4,5 and 6 and descend down to the Carnoch river , cross and ascend to Meall Buidhe. Then follow the walkhighland route to Munro8 and descent to the massive moorland bealach camp. 24k 2400m around 10 hours.

Day3. The munro number9 Ladhar Bheinn and down to inverie 14k 1000m leisure pace around 6 hours. Pub for pints while waiting for the ferry 18:30 to Mallaig 19:15. Drive home for a hot bath and wine celebrating.

Fascinating route.

All 9 in three days is pretty hardcore. Was thinking of doing the same route to Ladhar Beinn then switching North to Kinloch Hourn but missing out the first munro and Sgurr Mor. We will have full packs as on a 12 day hike and this is the start so dont want to push it too hard from day 1.

A few of questions what is the path up from Glendessary to Sgurr Morr like and is the West East river difficult to cross?
Also this year I went up Meall Bhuide from Carnach and there is quite a reasonable path to the bealach and then it was a relatively short push to the ridge. I saw you went directly up the face further north than the path.

Lastly was the second camp at Mam Barisdale and was there plenty of flat ground?

Managed to see you face book page now and realise where the blue line ends is where you camped so ignore question about Mam Barisdale.

Tough hike
