A weekend self-guided at HF Altshellach, Ruth not able to come so just me & Erna. Started walking at 9.00 in fairly sunny but cold conditions. Steps all way to Coire, people repairing path, dilemma about route but stuck to Walkhighlands researched route, anticlockwise. Mist came down so not great views. Quite a few friendly folk along the ridge. After Stob Coire Sgreamhach we had to negotiate the red scree shute!!! Did the sideways drop into it. Entertained by the Polish 'boys' all the way through the lost valley back to the car at 5.00.
