Ben Wyvis on a sunny, very hot and very windy summer day

On my way from Perthshire to Ullapool and Sutherland I stayed one night in Dingwall to go for Ben Wyvis. It was a perfect day for this munro with great views. Only the heavy wind which became pretty bad on An Cabar made the steep ascend a bit more challenging in some places. Some Walkers have given up at the Top of An Cabar because of the wind. But the walk to the summit of Ben Wyvis was not too bad anymore and the wind ceased a bit. The time I started the descend the wind was still a strong breeze but this was very welcome in the hot afternoon sun.
On my way back to my B&B I stopped at the Coul House Hotel where I had a lovely supper in a really relaxing atmosphere - although I was in my walking shorts and sandals I was very welcomed and very well served.
The pictures give the impression of an empty place but it was quite busy and not easy to catch these moments without anybody around
It was a great finish for this lovely summer day.
