Some days just pass you by without you even noticing, some days drag on and never seem to end, other days if you're lucky make you feel more alive than you ever thought possible,I think i had one of those days on Skye on Saturday. But first my thanks for such a day goes to Paul Tattersall our guide,if ever anyone has went way above what's expected then what Paul did on Saturday was simply awesome,if anyone is looking for a guide in the Cuillin on Skye then look no further than this awesome human being,on Saturday he went out his way to ensure Jonny616.......JB likes a Beer...AlanS and my good self had the most amazing day ever, I'll leave them to comment on the day if they so wish.
I'm a hill walker, not a scrambler, certainly not a climber so the Skye Cuillin are my biggest fear,I've put off the harder ones for far too long, and now as I hopefully near compleation they loom large on the horizon and bar the way on what I hope is an end to this journey.
I'm not going to bore people with times, locations, names of mountains or such like, suffice to say there are people on here more qualified, eloquent than I ever will be,what I will say is Sgurr nan Gillean by its West ridge & Am Bastier and the bad step in my eyes lived up to their reputation, especially Gillean, the climb onto its summit and then returning the same way to bealach Bastier will live with me until my last breath.
I hope you all enjoy the photos taken on my phone,it's not the best camera phone, but then no camera really captures what the human eye ever sees.

My journey hasn't quite finished as yet,and if I'm honest I never really thought I'd even get close to where I am today,I have still many adventures to come hopefully,I'm not so sure many will surpass this one

Glad you got them done, Paul's a gem (if a little cracked  )
First time I did those two I was on a high and enjoyed every minute - second time I was utterly terrified, especially going from the window to the summit of Gillean  So I can imagine that experience impressing itself on your memory :D

Fantastic photos and I share your feelings and thought. When I did these in 2015, a fantastic week and overcome some mental issues that I had stored for many a year to the fact that I thought I wouldn't complete the Munros. Well done all.

Well you certainly had the weather to really enjoy the whole experience 😁 I recall rain, rain and more rain when I did these. Saw nothing, which might have been a blessing 😂

Used Paul a few times and what a great guide, pushed me out my comfort zone on a really foul day on Sgurr Alasdair.
It's good when it all comes together.

Brilliant stuff - well done all of you - and the photos with the phone are great, much better than my misty, smeary ones. Strange how over the years the memory tones down the scary edges - well your photos have broght those memories back    - thank you
