Finally get a chance to get out since October 8) , this had been bugging me for ages especially with alan s and gammy legs report and pictures the day they had. i left the house at 6.30am and due to the fog through callander arrived at the carpark opposite kirkton farm for 7.45. geared up and was away for 7.55. followed the road to kirkton farm over the river fillan,i then started the short climb up the track and crossed the railway track i turned right and followed the fence line up and up and up it felt like the summit was never going to show and the long lay off took its toll on my legs as my right leg cramped up after a short break i continued to the south top my heart sank as i noticed the true summit further on along the snowy ridge,i didnt have to use the crampons as the snow was soft enough to walk along finally the summit to my relief 3hrs dead.after a few leg stretches and some warm soup and taken in all the views all around i started my descent and return back to the car the way i came .return time 12.41great day out amazing views cant wait to get back out hope it wont be as long

Good stuff JB, nice welcome back to the hills! It looked like great weather to the south of Spean Bridge where I was, anything to the north looked dark and dreary though, so I'd say we made good choices on our hills today.
