A short walk across boggy grass to a small hill with good views.

Path to bridge.

There is a bit of a path here but a bit overgrown.

Over the fence and now following the east bank of the Allt Gearraidh Dhroighinn. Not easier going but at least it's a line to follow.

Gars-bheinn.

Onto one of several criss-crossing and/or abutting atv tracks. Not much of a help as they only flatten the grass superficially, still leaving the underlying bumps and holes in tact. Still, a line to follow. About this point I give up on the longer coastal walk I'd planned and head up Truagh Mheall instead.

Eas Mor.

Eas Mor again. Suddenly we're at a time of year when the sun sits pretty low in the sky most of the day so no real need to wait for good light.

Rum. I've just finished reading the murder mystery Sleep which is set on Rum. A page turner but I think the author could have made use of the bothies and the magnetite. But they didn't.

Innocent looking atv track.

Back at the bridge. This time I avoided the coast and followed the more worn looking route past one of the houses. Met a crofter and his dog, dog desperate for me to throw their burst football for them to fetch. Eventually they persuaded a half hearted kick of their ball from me but to be honest I could have happily spent an hour entertaining them this way.

Coo with a view.

Nice reflections
