Just a short report on a high camp on Suliven with my son.
His first high camp and we couldn’t have picked a better mountain truly magical experience for us both.
We followed the standard walk in as described on walkhighlands.
There were several suitable spots to camp,
We did initial leave our rucksacks just up from the first bealach not knowing if there were any more suitable places to camp.
We were wrong another 100 metres up was another spot.
We continued up to the summit (31/2 hours)where I think there is about 4 suitable areas to pitch up so we decided to retreat and bring our gear to the summit.
Really glad we did the views are amongst the best I have seen.

What a lucky son. Superb sunrise/set? Wish we had the energy to drag our stuff further than the bothy, but the day we climbed it was very windy and a tent might have had to be brought down anyway. Not entirely sure where the 3.5 hours started from. Supermen if from the standard beginning.

BTW, it is Suilven, not that imaginary Irish mountain Suliven. Easy mistake.
