A great circuit from Forest Lodge. I followed the Walkhighlands route and soon emerged on to the open moor. A narrow path through tall grass and bracken led to the steeper ascent of Corserine to its plateau. The mist came down at this point but I found the trig point easily using map and compass.
The cloud lifted and weather was clear for the rest of the day. The ridge walk was delightful. I walked up and down over Millfire, Milldown then Meikle Millyea. I took the longish detour to the true summit of Meikle Millyea then returned to the trig and followed a clear path down. Some steep sections but nothing difficult. The walk back along the track to Forest Lodge was easy and felt quite short. I saw no other walkers on the hills. It seemed so isolated and beautiful and I had it all to myself!
