Benvane on a cold and cloudy morning.
Bit of an icy drive up so I was hoping the snow on the upper reaches would be frozen solid.
It wasn't and after a couple of hours struggling through knee high and deeper snow, I gave up at the lochan and went back down.
Nae views due to the low cloud.
Good exercise if nothing else.
Warning
Please note that hillwalking when there is snow lying requires an ice-axe, crampons and the knowledge, experience and skill to use them correctly. Summer routes may not be viable or appropriate in winter. See winter information on our skills and safety pages for more information.
