Tap o' Noth

Last short walk of 2019 to catch the sunset on Tap o' Noth. Quite cold at the trig point but warm enough just below.
I see there is a new path to aid cow-pat dodging at the start. Well, that might not be its intended specific purpose but it is a welcome addition in any case.


New path.


The mighty Buck to the south.


Bennachie to the south east.


Rinnes to the west.


Lochnagar to the south.








North to Huntly and the sea beyond.

Cheers! The end for that camera now, the Sony Hx90. Pretty good overall but frustrating at sunset/sunrise.
I find Tap o' Noth a good hill to go to when my fitness has gone off the boil and it does have fine views of the surroundings.

Either way, for a sunset or sunrise walk it is good to know that there's a reduced chance of stepping in something messy in the dark.
