With high winds forcast to drop as the day went on I left home at 9am, I wouldn't have time to travel to climb a new Munro so decided on the Corbett Creag nan Gabhar. This would also give me a chance to test out my new 4x4 in all of the snow through Glenshee.....which there was was plenty of. The path up was in deep snow and made for some tough going, once up on the ridge there was less snow, but wind and blizzard conditions to deal with. After reaching the summit, I decided to retrace my steps rather than wade through the derp snow on the track from Loch Callater. Thankfully there was breaks between snow storms giving views of the snow covered surrounding hills.
