Campervan trip 031 9th 2011.
We drove from Shieldaig (overnight at the entrance to the Crofters' field WC 51) to the Torridon Hotel and parked in their car park. Jean did a loch walk whilst I climbed Beinn Damh with the dogs. I took the fine path through the woods catching glimpses of the ravine below. Then taking the muddy path on the NE side of the Allt I ascended to the Drochaid Coire Roill. Now for a steep climb through the ramps and buttresses with Dot on a harness attached to me via a sling and chest harness. Dash OK on his own. I worked my way up the ENE ridge to the summit. The weather was very clear with good views into the Torridon and Achnashellach hills. I then followed the ridge to the trig point 687m. Then I returned to the bealach NG 871 525 and descended the corrie and picked up the woodland path again.
We then drove to Achnasheen and stayed overnight in the car park of the Ledgowan Lodge Hotel. Another meal in the bar.
