Campervan trip 048 3rd 2015. Aborted the trip after three days due to gas explosion.
From Grey Mares Tail where we had stayed overnight we drove to Blackhope cottage NT147098 near the track by the Blackhope burn.
Then ascent on R of Hang Gill amongst deep bracken initially. To Black Craig, Nether Coomb Craig, Swatte fell, Falcon Craig and Hart fell. Round the head of the valley to Hartfell Rig and across Whirly Gill and Saddle Yoke. Descent down ridge then finally off ridge to the main track. 4.5 hours. Took Dash as Dot was tired from climbing White Coomb the day before.
Dry but overcast, little wind.
Then over to Megget Reservoir Cramalt WC 17.
