New campervan trip 24 4th 2019.
Staying at WC 158 Cambus ó May.
A dry bright day, very little wind, excellent visibility.
From our overnight at Cambus we drove to Ballater.
From Ballater I biked to Cairn Leuchan 1hr 8min (500m of ascent). Along the undulating plateau via Cairn Hilloch to Creag Dearg. Descent on CL3 as per the Ballater MTB routes. A little technical in descent. I lost my balance and came off at one point but just made a few unsteady strides before getting back on my bike. 2hrs 55min.
Back to Cambus for an easy afternoon in sunny conditions. Sat out for a while.
Overnighted here.
First time on this route 22/02/2019 but using descent CL1. Same route but descent via CL2 on 15/07/2021 Separate entries for these days.
