New campervan trip 24 4th 2019.
From our overnight at WC 160 Scourie we headed to Durness.
A dry day which started out overcast and mist on the hills. No wind. During the day the mist cleared and it became sunny.
I checked on the Keolold ferry and found it was running. I was taken across the Kyle of Durness from Keoldale at 10.30 a.m. and cycled to Cape Wrath 1hr 20min. A walk around the lighthouse grounds and cliffs. Slightly faster on the return. Back on the ferry at 14.00.
To Scourie for an overnight.
Warning
Please note that hillwalking when there is snow lying requires an ice-axe, crampons and the knowledge, experience and skill to use them correctly. Summer routes may not be viable or appropriate in winter. See winter information on our skills and safety pages for more information.
