After our easier walk a couple days ago up to Pine Point / Inver Forest walk we decided as it’s to be a good day to walk the Loch Ordie / Deuachary hill.
We parked up at the Cally Car park and headed off at 9:30am.
It is a long walk uphill and soon we reached Mill Dam where we took a right as we reached the dam to head up towards Loch Ordie.
At the junction above we went clockwise on the upper Loch Ordie track which also went up and up!
We eventually found the path that was to take us up and up to the top. This was supposed to be the easier path up and if it is I’m glad we didn’t go up the shorter route lol.
With that track up being sheltered from the sun still has a decent covering of snow and made for tricky walking due to being iced up.
The final scramble up to the top was the most tricky for us but at last we made it to the top.
We touched the top stone on the rocky outcrop then over to the Trig point for the usual pictures. There was a party of three who were leaving as we arrived and another gentleman who has arrived as we were preparing to go back down.
The views were excellent and we could have stayed there for hours.
The obligatory picture at the top lol
The walk down eventually took us to the rather muddy track to Loch Ordie and around the back (east side) of the hill and back down to the car park.
A cracking long walk and next time I’ll take my camera next time.
