Flotterstone car park for another walk around the hills. The first sight of the ridge along to Scald Law showed a bit of snow.

The bonus was the wind was actually behind me, I've never been up there with the wind in this direction so immediately headed up to get into the snow before it started to seriously melt. The first hill had just a centimetre of snow, slushy lower down, still frozen at the top. Carnethy Hill had 3 cm near the top and Scald Law had a drift with 6cm of snow. So good to get a chance to walk in snow and not getting blasted away by the wind. My rucksac was taking all of the pressure.

Kept going till I got to West Kip and walked down into the lee of the hill out of the wind. Had lunch.
I could see a track going back along the foot of the hills and took a chance that it would lead back to Lover's Loup.
As this was the sheltered side, the snow was still around 2-3cm deep, but lots of wet patches that I had to negotiate. That's the trouble with quad bike tracks, they don't care where they go, churning up all the boggy parts something awful.
Glad to get past the remains of the trees that once stood here as it was downhill and better drained. Lover's Loup was even better although the track here is at least a metre deep in the slope. Once across the burn and onto the tarmac, it was a long trudge back to the car park.
