This was supposed to haver been our last Munro, but we didn't quite manage to do all the others first
still it was a good way to celebrate my 70th birthday. We were accompanied by daughter and her husband. We followed the WH route.

The weather was very pleasant lower down, but there were clouds on the summit - although the forecast was for them to lift by lunchtime.

As we got higher we walked into mist and a very strong wind, which made the route more tiring than it should be, it's an easy walk. As we got closer to the top several people stopped to tell us that there was no wind at the summit, despite the gale we were walking through.

While we had lunch the clag lifted to give glimpses of what could have been on show
As the weather improved markedly after lunch the two youngsters decided to head south from the summit and walk back to Lochbuie, where we were staying, across the Ross of Mull. They made it eventually
The oldies retraced their steps back to the car, capturing some bonnie shots across Loch na Keal on the way.
