Solo walk, left Echt early and got to the car park before the rush. Sun was warming up and the heather was turning purple.

Headed up the good path, suffering in the heat. No one else on the hill and made the summit by 9am. had a couple of sandwiches while taking it all in.

headed off over to the ridge. the ridge was fun but having just come back from Skye it didn't challenge.

Bit of a bog trot back to the main path and had a pleasant walk back to the car.

Came home over Glenshee and hit heavy rain and the Braemar gathering. Rain was gone by the time got to Tarland.

great little walk
