This was just our second walk of 2020, we did Little Wyvis in February but bad weather and nagging injury stopped us getting out again before now. However with a great forecast for Torridon on Friday we headed west. After a wee detour to the wrong car park arrived at around 11.30 to find the car park full, but squeezed into space on the verge nearby. Nice views of Beinn Eighe to the right

We headed uphill on a great path and crossed a stream, before making our way into choirie dubh mor

This was well named as it got shady and cold! Great views of cliffs on Liathach, which got better as we got higher and left the corrie

The path continues behind Liathach, but we turned right at the cairn and climbed slowly below Sail Mhor. Stopped for lunch with fantastic views of Torridon hills

Carried on and met people we know! First time this has happened! They told us we were about to reach snow, and we did, but made our way up to the loch, with views of the famous triple buttresses

The loch outfall was in spate and it was cold up there, so didn’t, hang about! As usual much faster downhill and we were back at the car quite quickly. Nice to see a local out and about, although they clearly hadn’t been watching the news and advice on self isolating!
