It's been known for me to have "geographical issues" when it comes to finding the correct place to park but no such problems today.

Start

I live on a dead end road and it's just over a mile to the farm at the end of the road so this is the first part of my walk.

Leaving the house

3.JPG
Wonder if the keys have been left in it...........

Planning permission was granted a few years ago to turn the old barn in to a five bedroom house but no sign of any work starting on it yet.

Craigowl Hill Tealing

This small wood had a reprieve a few years ago when planning permission for a turbine was denied. The plan was to remove the entire wood for one turbine which would have been a real shame as it is home to a number of deer, red squirrels and hedgehogs.

The end of the road

At the farm I turned round and headed back towards home before turning on to a farm track that links two minor dead end roads.

Off road!!

You can normally see the sea to the north of Arbroath from here but there is quite a haze today.

9.JPG
I can see the sea - not.

No walk is complete without a turbine and just for Graeme D Turin Hill is in the background.

Once back on tarmac I have a short walk to reach the busiest road of the day (busy as in I might see a car). Before reaching this road I have the "biggest" climb of the day.

11.JPG
The Climb

My reward for completing the climb is to have my usual chat with the coos (OK I admit it, I chat to them every day I pass them which is four or five times a week). Just the usual stuff, Brexit, Corona, St Johnstone...........

13.JPG

A quick left and right and then it's a mile downhill towards the small village of Letham.

14.JPG
Letham

Before reaching Letham I take another minor road with a short climb and I'm nearly home.

The finish with an accidental selfie

So that's my Boris walk - what's yours???

Please post your walks from the house, otherwise I'll need to start the decorating.

Good stuff
Coincidentally I had a similar thought earlier today but am working from home so haven't got outside for fresh air yet. That said, mine will be a heck of a lot less interesting than yours

Thank you for showing us round Gordie. You've got a good, quiet exercise yard there.

Thanks, on todays walk we discovered a grade b listed building near our place we never knew about. Literally 10 minutes from the front door. Its more enclosed now than the photos show. As much as I'd rather be on the hills this was actually a bit of a bonus.

Thanks - I'm lucky to live in the country and be able to do this from the front door but a few months of this (I get the feeling it could be months rather than weeks) could become a bit boring.

Assume you must have a decent route you can walk around where you live as well?

You had me checking Google - looks like there were a lot of mineworks in the area as well.

Amazing what you can find in your local area!!

Interesting, thanks. There are some others dotted around here from the looks of things.

Yes, we are on a main road but have quiet lanes heading east and west with a fair few options for our "standard" walk. We talk to the cows too! And the sheep and horses.
