The mattress jammed on the stairs from the kitchen to the kitchen bedroom : the extension was the result of previous owners getting mad ideas about "getting in a cook" in the 1920s. Those stairs are much narrower, and it was the polis, not MRT that rescued me when I couldn't get past.
