I live near the prison, and I guess I know how they feel in there now.
Onwards past the castle down to the riverside and over the Infirmary Bridge.
From here a bit of doubling back and eventually down by the sea and past the Caley Thistle ground.
Home of the 2015 Scottish Cup champions
Under and past the Kessock Bridge.
Cromwells Tower
I then passed under the Ness Rail Bridge which replaced the viaduct that collapsed in the floods of 1989 not long after a train went over it.

I followed the coast from here to the Caley Canal.

The Caley Canal including the Great Glen Way
A lot of people think the wreck of the titanic is in the atlantic ocean but its actually next to the canal in Inverness

Onward from the canal to the river.
Islands and River Ness
Its a few miles from here up to the UHI college campus on the east side of town. Its an area worth a visit with several munros on show, nesting swans & the Golden Gate Bridge.

From here it's a short cycle home for me or about half an hour walk. So that's it, a limited photo tour of Inverness.
