The day after the heat defeated us in the Mamores we ditched plans for any more hills and instead headed off to Port Appin and the beautiful island of Lismore or big garden, a limestone gem in Loch Linnhe. It was the first time either of us had visited Port Appin or Lismore, a perfect day for the trip and even better when we talked to the staff at the Pierhouse Hotel and realised we had time to catch the ferry to Lismore, do the walk and be back for lunch :D :D
