Having taken note of the tracks heading south from Inverkeithny bridge we returned to try to do a loop walk but found a notice on the Haddo path requesting privacy for the new owners so we went to the east side of the bridge instead and walked down the short track there that initially seemed only to lead to grassland beside the Keithny burn but then we found a path following the burn.

The track we set out on. To get onto the main track marked on the OS map it is necessary to take a sharp left after the gate but we went beside the river instead so got a loop walk.

We decided to give the cows a wide berth and cut east to try to find the main track through the wood.
